Teach it to someone at home

📋 Copy this into any AI chatbot
Please roleplay a realistic text message a scammer might send me, so I can practise my four-step decision framework (Stop, Check, Call Back, Report). Do not break character until I say the word 'debrief'. British English.
Teach the four-step framework to one adult at home — a parent, carer, grandparent, older sibling. Write two sentences: one naming who you taught it to, and one naming which of the four steps they said was the one they most needed to hear.
AI useOptional. If you are nervous about teaching it, you can ask an AI to roleplay a scam message so you can practise the framework at home first. Any of Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini is fine.
If no AI or internetYou can practise the framework out loud in front of a mirror before you teach it.
Bring backTwo sentences, handwritten or typed.
Stay safeNever share your name, school, address or any family details with the AI you practise with.

Please list four signals a legitimate UK small business carries on its website that would be hard for an AI-generated fake site to copy quickly. Do not rank them.
Find one real UK small business you or your family already buy from. Write two sentences: one saying which of the four scam patterns in the article could most easily imitate them, and one saying what signal on their real site would be hardest for an AI-generated fake to copy.
AI useOptional. If you use an AI, you can ask it to describe hard-to-fake signals of a legitimate small business. Any of Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini is fine.
If no AI or internetYou can look at a physical product you already own and think about what signals its real brand gives.
Bring backTwo sentences, handwritten or typed.
Stay safeNever share your name, school or address with the AI.

Find one message in your inbox

📋 Copy this into any AI chatbot
Please read this suspicious message and tell me which of the four Trading Standards signals it would trip (urgent request, request for money or data, familiar-voice spoofing, polished-fake retailer). Do not tell me whether it is a scam — I want to decide for myself.
Open your email inbox or messages tonight. Find one real recent message that would have failed the old typo rule but passes the new ask-based check (or vice versa). Write two sentences: one saying what the message is, and one naming which signal — grammar or the ask itself — would have caught it fastest.
AI useOptional. You can paste a message into an AI and ask it to flag the suspicious signals. Any of Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini is fine.
If no AI or internetYou can bring a printed message in from home.
Bring backTwo sentences, handwritten or typed.
Stay safeNever share your own personal details, email address, phone number, or school with the AI — paste only the suspicious text itself, with any names or addresses blanked out.
